RiverBank’s decisions are all made locally by the people most affected and informed.
Our story
RiverBank was originally chartered as a State Savings and Loan Association in 1971 with its home office located in Corning, Arkansas. Shortly after purchase, the Association opened the Pocahontas branch on Old County Road near Walmart. In 2015, RiverBank converted the charter to an Arkansas State Chartered Bank and changed its name.
RiverBank - Corning Branch
RiverBank purchased its Pocahontas main location in 2018, which was a locally known historic landmark. Restoration began to restore the historic features of the building itself, and after opening the branch in 2020, RiverBank was proud to announce that the building was named a Nationally Preserved Historic Building. The history was preserved thanks to several friends who gave insight and photos of the building at its birth in 1960. The preservation process was successful in bringing the history of 1960 to date in 2020.

RiverBank prides itself that it reinvests deposits locally and does not pull deposits from rural communities only to lend in big city markets. RiverBank’s decisions are all made locally by the people most affected and informed-not a committee that resides in another community.

RiverBank Broadway Branch Solar Panel Project
Through the Broadway Branch renovation process, RiverBank made the choice to construct solar panels on the rooftop of the Broadway Branch. The energy efficient addition has provided electricity to the branch since its opening in 2021.
Not only has the solar panel edition provided energy and electricity to the bank, but it has also provided environmental benefits! Using solar energy to power the bank has saved 343,624.47lbs of CO2 Emission since the beginning of 2023! That is equivalent to planting over 2,500 trees.
Let’s break this down…
On a monthly basis (2022), the RiverBank Solar Edge system produces about 5.85MWh (Megawatt hours) of energy. That is enough energy to power 195 homes for a day! In its lifetime, the solar panels have produced 221.91MWh. That is enough energy to power about 7,400 homes for a day!
